Begin by cutting all of the pattern pieces out in the relevant colours. Then you are ready to start sewing each character.

Sewing the Easter Characters

Bouncy Little Bunny

  1. Stitch the small brown nose onto one of the bunny’s head shapes, following the photo for guidance. Stitch 2 eyes onto the rabbit’s face by layering small stitches of black thread into a star shape.
  2. Stitch the 2 head shapes together, directly on top of each other, ensuring to insert the toy stuffing in between the 2 layers of felt as it begins to come together. How to make your own Easter decor

  3. Now stitch the eggshell together. Start by laying the two blue eggshell shapes directly on top of each other, and insert the chick in between, following the photo as a guide. Stitch the egg together, starting at the pointed top of the egg, stitching all the way through the bottom of the chick at the same time. Once the shell is nearly closed up, insert the toy stuffing. DIY Home Decor Easter Garland

Assembling the Garland

  1. Thread the yellow ribbon or twine onto the extra large needle. Carefully wiggle the ribbon and needle through the centre of each character.
  2. Once the Easter characters are arranged in the order that you would like, space them out evenly.
  3. If using ribbon fold over the edge of the ribbon at one end, and stitch one button on top. Do the same at the other end.
